Jerry Alan Johnson

Professor Jerry Alan Johnson is regarded as one of the few internationally recognized Non-Chinese Internal Martial Arts Grandmasters, Professor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Senior Abbot of esoteric Daoist Mysticm. In the mid 1990's he graduated from the Hai Dian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, and was licensed as a Medical Qigong Doctor through the People’s Republic of China’s Ministry of Health. After working in several T.C.M. Hospitals and clinics throughout China and the United States, he was acknowledged as America’s leading authority on Medical Qigong Therapy in the West by the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong in Beijing, China. Professor Johnson has additionally been studying Daoist mysticism for over 47 years, and is an 80th-generation Daoist priest from the Maoshan Shangqing Monastery in Jiangsu Province; and a 65th-generation priest from the Longhushan Tianshi Monastery, in Jiangxi Province. He has written over 45 instructional textbooks, including 11 clinical workbooks on Chinese Energetic Medicine, 16 instructional workbooks on ancient Daoist mystical practices, 11 instructional workbooks on Daoist internal martial arts, and 7 additional workbooks based on both Buddhist and Christian mystical teachings. To date, he currently resides as the Zhuchi (Senior Abbot) of “Bian Hua Gong,” (The Temple of Change & Transformation”) in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
