Dr. Jess Wade

Jess Wade is an Imperial College Research Fellow working in the Department of Materials at Imperial College London. Her research considers new materials for optoelectronic devices, with a focus on chiral organic semiconductors. Jess completed her master's degree and PhD in physics at Imperial. For her doctoral research Jess concentrated on new materials for solar panels and the development of advanced characterisation techniques to better understand molecular packing. Outside the lab, Jess is committed to democratising access to knowledge, celebrating the discoveries of scientists from historically marginalised groups and making sure all young people realise just how awesome science can be.
