
Julio César Navarro Villegas (Mexico, 1972) is a prominent and respected jurist who studied law at UNAM, graduating with honours in 1997. Thanks to a prestigious invitation from the European Community, between 2004 and 2006 he completed a Master's degree in Romanist Legal System: Unification of Law and Integration Law at the "Tor Vergata" University in Rome, Italy. Subsequently, he attended a Master's Degree in Legal Sciences and a Doctorate in Law at the Universidad Panamericana, thus reaffirming his solid academic background. As a professor, he has taught Roman Law I and II at the UNAM, the Universidad Panamericana and the Universidad Internacional de la Rioja, and has been a full professor of Roman Law and Ecclesiastical Law of the State at the Universidad Pontificia de México. His teaching experience, which includes specialised courses in the exegesis of Roman legal sources, the foundations of legal argumentation, parliamentary oratory and legal Latin at various renowned institutions, positions him as a renowned authority in the field of law. In addition, his participation in numerous congresses and his role as a lecturer on Roman Law and classical humanism in various national universities underline his influence and prestige. Julio César Navarro Villegas has published a variety of works in the legal, humanistic, historical and narrative fields, many of which have reached the top of the Amazon sales charts, a testimony to his relevance and acceptance in the academic and literary community. He is currently working on the translation of Justinian's Digest into Spanish, English, Italian, French, German and Portuguese, a monumental undertaking that will further consolidate his status as a world-renowned expert in Roman Law.
