During her 25-year career in international higher education, Kimberly Gillette assisted thousands of students and faculty in pursuing their educational goals. She experienced firsthand the challenges of pursuing a career, raising a family, and going back to school. Like many before her, job stress and a lack of work-life balance led to burnout, and Gillette was at a career crossroads, wondering what to do next. Recognizing the gap in support and services for people in her situation, Kimberly started her own business dedicated to helping others who were at their own career crossroads. In her first book, "Rising Above the Noise: A handbook for living life to the fullest", Gillette provides support, guidance and wisdom for others enduring the stress of working. She currently lives in northwest Minnesota with her husband and rescue dog. She enjoys cross-country skiing, snowshoeing in the winter, and kayaking whenever there isn’t ice on the lake.
