Dr. Robert Silver, a world-renowned holistic and integrative veter-inarian, author, educator, and speaker, has spent the past four decades treating dogs, cats, horses, pocket pets, goats, llamas, birds, reptiles, and even a few circus animals. An experienced veterinary mycologist, Dr. Silver is Chief Veterinary Officer for Real Mushrooms, a Canadian functional mushroom company. As an experienced veterinary herbalist, he is former President of both the American College of Veterinary Botanical Medicine and the Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association. Dr. Silver teaches a six-hour online course for veterinary con-tinuing education titled “The Essentials of Medicinal Mushrooms” and sponsored by the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies. Dr. Silver also offers webinars, coaching, and live in-person events where he can work directly with pet parents to create healthy options for their four-legged family members. Dr. Silver frequently speaks to large audiences, both domesti-cally and internationally, and is the author of the 2015 book, Med-ical Marijuana and Your Pet. Dr. Silver has been formulating potent pet supplements for the past 30 years and owns and manages the Well-Pet Dispensary, an online health supplement source for unique and highly potent nutraceuticals, herbs, and THC-free cannabinoid therapeutics for pets. Dr. Robert Silver graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He became certified in veterinary acupuncture in 1993 by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Dr. Silver taught the first course on Chinese Herbal Medicine for IVAS with Dr. Huisheng Xie, founder of the Chi University of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine from 2001-2004 in Boulder, Colorado. Currently, Dr. Silver shares his life with his partner of 30 years, Hannah, two Maine Coon kitties, Spencer and Rosie, who “rule the roost,” and a sweet 10-year-old rescue Lab, Ollie.
