Dr. Sarah Kotlerman

About the author

Dr. Kotlerman is a mother, doctor, author, and outdoor enthusiast. She started her clinical career as a diagnostic nutritional therapist, specializing in mental health issues. In her practice, she came to realize that some of her patients would get better quicker than others, noting that there had to be another key player besides nutrition. This started her journey of digging deeper into the systems of the body that control health, and gaining a much greater understanding of a person’s nervous system, brain, and how this system regulates all other tissues and cells in the body. Dr. Kotlerman completed her doctorate in Chiropractic at Life West Chiropractic College, Hayward, CA. She excelled in clinic, earning several awards including the Dr. Carl Dieter Philosophy Scholarship and the Emerald Clinical Award – the second highest form of clinical achievement. She has been working in intensive clinical practice post graduate, as a clinical lead doctor at Averio Health Institute. Averio Health Institute is a regenerative medicine facility that specializes in helping patients regenerate their health through specially designed concentrated care programs, specific neurological methods, and customized, objective testing. Her focus is with complex and complicated patient cases, and the non-surgical regeneration of tissues through pro-science and cutting edge methods. Averio care focuses on using a person’s own brain and innate intelligence to produce sustainable improvement in tissue quality and function. The core of Averio care is the idea of concentrated care, i.e. more care. Specifically, more functional neurological chiropractic adjustments to let the patient’s brain function at a more complete level. Nearly every tissue in your body can regenerate. You can regenerate new lungs, heart, eyes, bones, blood, etc. This regeneration is neuro-regulated: meaning you must have enough neurological function from your brain to your tissues to allow for regeneration. The Averio model is directed towards stimulating regeneration through stimulating the patient’s brain in safe, effective, and sustainable treatments and therapies. The concentrated effort of this care means that patients who have found no help anywhere else, will often respond at Averio. Dr. Kotlerman loves the work that she does; outside of work she loves spending time with her family, gardening, hiking, and living life to the fullest!
