Update! December 21st, 2024, I'm pleased to announce my second children's storybook "Conga's Rescue Adventure", has just been released on Kindle, Amazon. This book will introduce children to "Conga" (who happens to be a skinny elephant). Conga lives on the vast landscapes of South Africa with his "Tuskie" family. The adventure that Conga experiences one day involves Conga, one of his brothers Jelan and their sister Asha. An ordinary day bathing at the falls turns happy times into danger when Asha is alone and surrounded by a pack of angry tigers. Conga & Jelan are alerted to Asha's trouble when her trunk blasts are heard nearby and the two brothers make a plan to rescue Asha. The idea for this book was born from a colored drawing my grandson hand in to his third grade teacher when the class was learning about elephants and their environment. What made his drawing so unique was the body style and shape of his elephant impression. This elelphant was skinny! I knew there was a story to be told about how this elephant used his body to move through tight squeezes and place his other family members couldn't get through easily. I have once again teamed up with the illustrator of my first children's book "Lewis The Little Lost Loon" ms Katia Hale. Katia is now the owner, illustrator of Kolorful Highlights. The book promotion will begin immediately and soon children and their parents will find "Conga" in schools, libraries and various bookstores. Enjoy and welcome 2025!Years ago, in the prime of my youth, and among friends, I was known as "Archie". Really not a far cry from my surname Archambault. I picked it up again for an easy to remember "click" name- kind of a keyword for people like "you" who might search out my name to find the book! First Post 2023 As I look around at this stage of my life, I can say that I'm very blessed to have a loving family with my wife Cheryl and our two beautiful, intelligent, caring daughters and two fantastic grand boys one 19 and the other 5 who are talented, witty and loving. Early in my youth, my idea of writing and what I would write, originally started in the form of poetry or short stories that came from life events or inspirations from books I read. I was writing for myself. Fast forward so many more years and less hair on my head and I'm inspired to write more sensibly, with ideas of creating fantasy situations for children showing animals, characters dealing with life situations and lessons to learn from good or not so good decisions. I’m confident that “Lewis”and sequels or other stories I write ( in the children’s youth category), will open the door to other interesting characters in ordinary situations, learning life lessons in their their own worlds, and help children understand life!
