Ed Novak has had many professional lives including book publishing, consulting, higher education, the arts, and government regulatory oversight. “Confessions of a Lapsed Altar Boy” is his first novel. He was born and baptized in southern California and raised in the San Francisco suburbs, where he faithfully served as an altar boy. He lapsed in Washington DC. He has also lived in Chicago, New York, and two cities in Pennsylvania, Harrisburg and Camp Hill. He currently resides in Greenbelt, Maryland, and Tucson, Arizona. His avocation is the study of disintermediation. He is a graduate of two Jesuit institutions of learning: Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose, California, and Georgetown University, where he was awarded the Morris Historical Medal. He also earned a master’s degree in history from the University of Chicago.
