Edward F. Donlin, Author Bio Edward Donlin is a long-tme writer but seldom published book author. He has resided in SWFL for nearly 40 years and wrote and produced the television series The Boating Show, which aired on SWFL cable and the Sunshine network for five years. Later, he wrote a newspaper column on boating for the Fort Myers Beach Observer Newspaper and developed two local reality Television shows about waterfront restaurants and boating, starring his son, Christopher Donlin. The experience shootng and editng videos led him to be a volunteer editor on the film, 'Escampaba, Kingdom of Carlos' produced and directed by Theresa Schober in conjuncton with Florida Gulf Coast University, University of Florida, and the Fort Myers Beach Mound House. The subject of the mysterious Calusa tribe fascinated him. The scarcity of Calusa's written history led him to write the historical ficton novel, ‘Ewat the Calusa Indian Boy,’ which is the coming-of-age story about a boy who becomes a warrior who battles the invading Ponce de Leon on Estero Island in 1521. Since Amazon changed the publishing industry, Ed Donlin has been digging through his bottom desk drawer and coming up with many rejected works from years ago. Ewat is his first new novel, with most illustratons by world-renowned artist Theodore Morris.
