Mr. Goldberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in Hospital and Health Service Administration from The Ohio State University. He has served as a Hospital Administrator for 38 years, initially being appointed as Administrator of Coral Gables Hospital in Florida when he was 25. Mr. Goldberg previously served as a Vice President for Columbia/HCA, Administrator at Hargrove Hospital, Chicago IL, Administrator at Charter Barclay Hospital, Chicago IL, Regional Director with Charter Medical Corporation, and Administrator at Coral Gables Hospital, Coral Gables FL. Beginning in 1994, he served as the President/CEO of St. Alexius Medical Center, a 331-bed medical/surgical facility in Hoffman Estates, IL, until his retirement in November 2012. Mr. Goldberg was inducted into the Studer Fire Starter Healthcare Hall of Fame in October 2012. Under his leadership, each hospital Mr. Goldberg was responsible for had significant increases in admissions and outpatient visits. With a strong focus on physician, employee, and patient relations, he consistently achieved some of the nation's highest physician, employee, and patient satisfaction scores. Mr. Goldberg completed his book, "So, You Want to Be a Physician" in 2013, and is pleased to provide this updated edition which includes new chapters on the CASPer interview method, the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI), and receiving your desired residency. In addition, there are new sample interview questions for medical school and residencies, application suggestions, and much more. He has also edited and published a book on Cultural Sensitivity, and regularly delivers presentations to healthcare, and other organizations, on Servant Leadership, Relationship Development, and Healthcare Marketing. Mr. Goldberg is now a hospital consultant, presenter, and coach for individuals applying to Medical, Dental, Veterinary Schools and Residencies, as well as Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner programs. He has tutored numerous individuals, not only for traditional Medical School programs, but six-to-eight-year Medical School programs with an impressive success rate.
