I am curious about the place where solid land gives way to fluid water; the moment land leaps the horizon to dissolve into sky; and the magic of blue sky turning to infinite space. I am enchanted by borders and edges, in the natural world as well as in the human body. As an artist, I create to explore and embody these liminal places. I am committed to mythic living, a way of consciously cultivating and honoring the magical symbols that make us feel alive. My writing is driven by a passion for women's liberation, my love of myth and story, and my lidless curiosity. I am inspired by my formal studies in anthropology, world religion, depth and somatic psychology as well as my personal path as a priestess. My heart has always pulled me toward the deepest mysteries. My mother read us the Bible from start to finish, year after year, and while I ultimately did not find a personal practice in Christianity, it paved the way for understanding metaphor and symbols that still shapes me strongly today. I became curious about Eastern texts and yogic practice, and I decided to weave together the different colors of my experiences into one tapestry of acceptance. In college I studied anthropology, religion and journalism-- looking for truth, beauty and adventure.
