Eileen Finn is an ESL teacher, researcher, and painter based in Wenatchee, Washington who specializes in acrylic paintings, which employ vibrant colors in the style of post-impressionism. Her art is heavily influenced by Van Gogh and Jose Guadalupe Posada. Eileen's life experiences have also shaped her paintings as she has lived abroad for almost ten years. Ms. Finn only started painting six years ago while battling some health problems. She was encouraged by her family to start classes at Vine Gogh Artist Bar in Portland to keep her mind off her health issues. After she got better, she suffered a series of losses - the worst being that of when her beloved dog became gravely ill and passed away. Eileen started to explore her Mexican heritage and got into Day of the Dead art as a way to grieve and has been drawn to it ever since.
