Eitan Posner HaLevy, a Transylvanian-born Israeli author, draws upon his family's harrowing experiences of surviving Hungarian oppression and deportations during World War II. Emigrating to Israel in 1964, HaLevy brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to his writing, shaped by his own and his family's history. With "Escaping Budapest," his debut novel, HaLevy spent six and a half years meticulously weaving true historical events with compelling fiction. His work offers readers an intimate glimpse into one of history’s darkest periods, driven by a lifelong quest to understand the roots of the Holocaust and its profound impact on individual lives. HaLevy's narrative style combines rigorous historical research with a compassionate exploration of human nature under extreme circumstances. His storytelling is fueled by a dedication to preserving the memory of Holocaust survivors and educating future generations about this crucial period in history. Outside of writing, HaLevy is actively involved in Holocaust remembrance initiatives and educational outreach.
