Elhadj Ndoye was born and raised in Senegal, West Africa. Back in 1995, at the age of 22, he took a leap of faith and removed himself from his own people, language, history, and country to pursue his education in the United States. Elhadj has more than twenty years of successful banking experience in the local Tucson area. He is a University of Arizona Alumni and a Wildcat through and through. His biggest inspiration is to give back. In creating The Forgotten Children, a registered non-profit foundation, he serves (and saves) orphaned, impoverished, and homeless children in M’bour, Senegal, West Africa. The boarding school provides safe housing, nourishment, and education for children in dire need. As friend and donor, Susan Parcells said of him, he has met “a monumental challenge, like the story of the mustard seed. Now … the dormitories, kitchen, classrooms, and trades education have come to realization. Outcasts no more, there are girls and boys living, learning, and having dreams of what they want to be when they grow up. They can have a childhood and not have to face the scandalous horrors of street survival. A man of vision and dedication making a life for so many—that’s El Ndoye.” Elhadj has been called a gifted musician, playing different instruments from all over the world with a world contemporary style of music.
