Eliane Di Pol Kurbegov, born in France, came to New York City in 1969 as an au-pair. She met and married a Bosnian immigrant and had two children. With a B.A. and M.A. from Hunter College -CUNY, followed by a Specialist Degree from Nova University, Eliane went on to teach French at the high school and college levels in New York, Florida and Colorado. She has been a consultant for the College Board for many years, leading AP workshops and Summer Institutes, writing test and curricular items. Eliane has co-authored the AP Textbook "Thèmes" as well as the Barron’s "AP French Language and Culture Guide". She has also authored numerous French books published by McGraw-Hill. While continuing to work with known publishers, Eliane recently self-published "The Classroom is Buzzing", a guide for beginning level teaching of French, and "No-Fluff French Grammar", ideal for an at-glance overview of French grammar in high school and college classes.
