Emily Loy Wamsley

Emily is the self published author and illustrator of her 3 books. All of her books are inspired by her life experiences and passions. Emily and her husband Sean lived on the island of St. John, USVI from 2017-2020. They moved to the island sight unseen in their early 20’s. During their years on St. John, they made lifelong friends, experienced hurricanes Irma and Maria, and adopted their coconut retriever, Sailor! Her time on St. John inspired her to create her books “St. John Sailor” and “A St. John Christmas”. In 2022, Emily gave birth to their firstborn daughter at home. The experience had a profound impact on her life, and she discovered a new passion for birth and motherhood. This led her to writing and illustrating “Born at Home”, which embodies the journey of home birth in the form of a poem. Emily has always loved all things creative, which is what led her to writing and illustrating her own books! She is a Christian, wife, mother, and small business owner. Emily now resides in Indiana with her family.
