Emily Maker

Emily Maker is the youngest of the three children. She was born in California, USA, in 1990. She grew up in a family of migrant workers and spent most of her childhood moving around California. When she was a child she loved crafts, DIY and adapted this as her hobby. She has also done masters in designing. Her career path was rooted in design, but she was a teacher at heart. She believed that everyone can be creative, and her true passion is designing projects that are accessible for crafters at any level. This urged her to share her experience through this book. Emily’s greatest loves are her daughter Lia, her dog Enzo and traveling in Europe. She adores a cozy, comfy living space and is thoroughly enjoying being her age, with all the experience and wisdom it brings. When she’s not sharing her DIY knowledge, Emily gets a kick out of making a gourmet spread for friends and family and especially loves to cook and bake yummy vegan and gluten free goodies. Emily Maker is an amazing author and speaker as well as a prime example of one who turned her life lessons to cultivate the hidden talents of the next generation of readers and writers.
