Emma Bayley

Emma Bayley is passionate about bringing historical events and figures to life for a young readership, and especially enjoys writing about people who made important scientific discoveries as children. She spent many years working as a writer and editor for a science magazine, where it was her privilege to interview famous scientists, amongst them David Attenborough, one of her biggest heroes. This is her first middle grade book to be published. She lives in Sussex with her family and divides her time between writing and working as a midwife in her local hospital.
