Dr. M. Emmanuel Bhaskar is a seasoned Physician-Educator with over 20 years of clinical practice. During the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2022, he supervised the medical care of approximately 20,000 infected individuals. This unprecedented period was a profoundly unforgettable experience for him, compelling him to adapt his medical care skills from clinics and hospitals to the homes of his patients. As a clinician-researcher, he has authored numerous scientific research articles. The book series titled "COVID stories from India" marks his first endeavor to narrate the hardships, hope, failures, and recoveries of his patients who battled COVID with varying degrees of success. He is a specialist in Internal Medicine and teaches at a medical teaching hospital in Chennai, India.
