Emryn Bird

Emryn Bird is an artist and writer living in California that combines her passion for monsters, folk tales, and horror in works of genre fiction. Being aromantic and asexual, she focuses on depicting nuanced, queer relationships that cannot be defined as they confront the allonormativity and amatonormativity often present in romantic fiction. She has made it her mission to make works that revolve around monsters that are truly eldritch horrors and the people who accept them for who they are. In the Jaws of an Oak is the first work of her journey to create “monster lover” fiction and she hopes you will come along for the ride to see whatever she releases next.
