First off, some flashy titles: Intelligence Operation Strategist, OSINT Analyst, Cybersecurity Specialist, and Security Researcher. Now that we’ve fed the narcissistic ego, let’s move on. I started out in aerospace engineering—it sounded cool back then, I guess. But nothing stayed the same after the massacre in November 2019. I didn’t stay the same either. That was the day I left everything behind: my university subject (somewhat forcefully), my career, my visage, and stepped into the world of intelligence analysis. These days, I spend my time pentesting, working on cyber threat intelligence, playing my role as the adder of the spice at CSI Linux, analyzing military operations, and tackling whatever else comes my way, using whatever tools fit the job. I’m one of those people who accepts a project first and then suffers through learning whatever I need to actually get it done. The Middle East became my focus—not by choice, but by heritage and blood. Along the way, I picked up instruments like CYBINT, FININT, GEOINT, NAVINT, SOCINT, SIGINT, SDR tinkering, and analyzing ADS-B. In a nutshell, I get bored easily—this world can be mind-numbingly dull at times—and I’ll do just about anything to make it a bit more bearable. I blame existentialism for that, though I get why we, as a species, had to go through it. I don’t want to make this too long. I’m just a mad man in a box. My work has taken me to some dark places, which feels fitting, honestly, considering what I’ve become. Human trafficking, cybercrime, human rights violations, financial corruption—and the rest is [redacted] for dramatic and legal reasons. Plus, I’d rather not die yet—I still have some last things to do. You name it, I’ve worked with teams and organizations to pull at threads in situations that are messed-up but sadly, all too real. When I’m not doing stuff at CSI Linux, testing pens, teaching, or writing about intelligence and forensics, I’m hosting LUMON RADIO and ECHOES OF THE LIMINAL. Both shows happen in the post-apocalyptic world of ECHOTHIS, created by us, where we share what we’ve learned in the field and our subjective perspective—in, of course, a messed-up way. All this would be worth it if someday, somewhere, it could help someone. At last, remember to drink enough water, eat your vegetables, and keep staying insane.
