Eric Rhoads is an artist and a career entrepreneur, with 30 years of launching companies and media brands, creating startups, and building businesses. Rhoads has more than 40 years’ experience in the radio broadcasting field, 25 years in the publishing business, and two decades in the art industry. He started his career as a radio DJ at age 14. Rhoads is chairman of the board of Streamline Publishing, Inc., a company he founded in 1986 that publishes consumer and trade magazines, digital media properties, information products, and video in the radio broadcasting industry and art world. In addition, Streamline produces seven art events a year, including the annual Plein Air Convention & Expo and the Figurative Art Convention & Expo. Streamline has been listed as one of the Fastest Growing Companies in America in each of the last three years on the INC (magazine)500/5000. Streamline’s brands in broadcasting include: Radio Ink, Radio + Television Business Report, and Radio Discussions, and Streamline’s brands in art include Fine Art Connoisseur, a magazine for art collectors; PleinAir, a magazine about the outdoor painting movement (the top-selling art magazine in America); Artists On Art, an all-digital art magazine; American Watercolor Weekly, and the Fine Art Today and PleinAir Today newsletters. In 2015, Eric Rhoads was one of six to receive the first Florence Academy of Art Patron Award, along with Jacob Collins, Daniel Graves, Stone Roberts, Judith Pond Kudlow, and Christopher Forbes.
