Erica F. Alio-Warr was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 25 September 1972. She is a graduate in literary translation, an English teacher, and holds a degree in educational management. Trained in singing, composition, and choral conducting, she was selected by the Rotary International exchange group to be the cultural representative of Argentina in the United States in 1995. Upon her return to Argentina, she worked for several years as a language and translation teacher at various universities and colleges in Buenos Aires. In 2002, she was invited to Austria as a student of the former deputy director of the Vienna State Opera, Hubert Deutsch. For several seasons she performed as a singer and songwriter in various cities in Europe and America. However, her dedication and fascination for alternative medicine led her to obtain a degree in Naturopathy, a Ph.D. in Music Therapy and a H.M.D. in Holistic Medicine. Since 2007, she resides in Germany, where she used to work as a therapist and lecturer at the University of Greifswald for over a decade. In 2015 she founded her own institute, where she focuses on the therapeutic application of creative arts. As an author, her multicultural and multidisciplinary background is reflected in each of her creations: whether fictional works, educational texts, bilingual short stories or musical pieces.
