Erica Rivas

Erica Rivas (1983-) wrote her first book A New Dawn in 2017. She wrote for her high school newspaper and was voted “Biggest Storyteller” of her senior class. She has spent the last nine years of her career working in the criminal justice system. She was invited to present to surrounding police agencies and FBI regarding human trafficking of teenage juvenile runaways for prostitution. She has worked all sides of the system and has a broader understanding of human nature that most people never see. She used some of her life experiences to bring this novel to life.
