Born in 1984, award-winning historian Erik Wright spent his formative years traveling the southwestern United States. After publishing his first article with True West Magazine at age 16, Wright studied archaeology in college and later moved to northeast Arkansas where he currently resides. Since his first article, Wright has published widely in a variety of national popular and scholarly publications whose focus is the history of the American West. An author of several books and dozens of papers and articles on the western history, Wright serves as the assistant editor of the National Tombstone Epitaph as well as a contributing editor for True West Magazine. He director of the Greene County Office of Emergency Management and is married with two children.
