Evelyn Reiss is an Educational Consultant, founder/President of the Canadian Dyslexia Society and Master Teacher Trainer of the Orton-Gillingham Approach. Evelyn's experience includes over 25 years of experience teaching literacy to students at all age levels including, elementary, high school, university and post-graduate. In 2010 she founded The Claremont School in Toronto, designed exclusively for students with dyslexia. To date it is the only Orton-Gillingham school in Ontario, Canada. As a Fellow of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham, she believes all students can be taught to read using a multisensory approach to teaching language. Evelyn created The Great Word House teaching resource to support dyslexic students and provide their educators with the necessary tools to assist them in this process.
