Evi Nemeth

evi nemeth started with unix ages ago when system administration had hardly been invented. she was a faculty member in the computer science department at the university of colorado at boulder for many years, specializing in undergraduate education, network design and measurement and cryptography. the unix/linux sysadmin books grew out of needing to harness that abundant undergrad enthusiam and energy to run our teaching labs. evi bought a sailboat and retired from teaching in 2002. she has been sailing ever since (currently in new zealand) and stays pretty far away from unix, linux, and sysadmin problems. closest approach is the boats fire extinguisher sold by a spanish company and prominently labeled "UNIX" :-) for more info on the sailing, see the always out-of-date website www.cs.colorado.edu/~evi/sailing.html
