Evonne Marzouk is an accomplished writer, Jewish adult educator, and environmental professional. She grew up in Philadelphia and received her B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University. Her work has been published in the Jewish News Syndicate, the Washington Post, The Wisdom Daily, the Times of Israel, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, Jew in the City, the Jewish Press, the Washington Jewish Week, and many other publications. She worked with rabbis, scientists, educators, and community leaders to gather and teach Jewish lessons about the environment, some of which were published in Uplifting People and Planet: Eighteen Essential Jewish Lessons on the Environment (2014). Evonne has spoken to schools, communities and book clubs about Jewish wisdom and women's empowerment, based on the lessons of her novel The Prophetess.
