Faye Al Saadoon Lind is an Arab woman. But, she is not just that. She does not wear a hijab. She is not submissive. She has opinions—probably more than she should. Faye believes that everyone should have a voice, especially those who have never been afforded one. It is her mission to provide a platform for the voiceless and inspire them to find their voice and share it with the world. Faye was born in Canada, but grew up in Jordan with her Middle Eastern mother and Swedish father. This led to her interest in other countries, cultures, and most especially, in other people's stories. Believing that people are the culmination of their experiences, Faye has sought to pursue experiences for her own personal self betterment. These have included volunteering with physically disabled and deaf and blind children in Jordan, working as a director for the Millennium Fellowship, and attending Georgetown School of Foreign Service. Her book, Unveiled is her way of sharing both her experiences and the experiences of others as Arab women in order to highlight the true extent of change and growth that has and is yet to happen.
