Felicia T. Brenoe

关于作者

Felicia Brenoe grew up in a small coastal town in southern Norway and developed an early appreciation for beautiful patchwork and fabric from the artistic community surrounding her family. After she moved to Arizona in 1996 to complete college, she started indulging more fully in textile arts. Initially she developed skills in needlework and historic embroidery, but she soon added patchwork and quilting to her repertoire. Even though Felicia has a masters degree in physical anthopology, which she finds to be a truly exciting field, she started dreaming about life that was all about textiles. In 2013 she finally put her science and teaching career on the shelf and jumped with both feet into her new career as a quilt designer. Felicia enjoys working with lots of colors and fabrics in her designs and she is frequently inspired by the traditions, moods, and natural beauty of her international travels, her Norwegian upbringing, as well as her academic background. Her quilting hero's include Yoko Saito, Reiko Kato, Kaffe Fassett, and Gwen Marston. She also adores looking at antique quilts and historic needlework samplers for inspiration. Felicia's work has appeared in several magazines including Quiltmania, Art Quilting Studio, Generation Q, and Quilt Festival. Felicia lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, three kids, and three spoiled cats. When not sewing, she enjoys traveling to foreign places, gardening, Tai Chi, Kung Fu, hiking, nature, good documentaries, red wine, books, and spending time with family.
