Floyd Stokes

Floyd Stokes, LHD, is the founder and executive director of the American Literacy Corporation (ALC) which is a non-profit organization established in August of 2000 that promotes reading to children. He is the author of over twenty children’s books. Floyd is the recipient of several awards to include the James Patterson PageTurner Award and his high school renamed the library in his honor. Floyd has read to children all 50 states. Since the pandemic, he has started Reading 365, scheduling two readers daily at 11 a.m. via Zoom and Facebook live. He lives in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
