Frank Chin

(photo by Nancy Wong) Frank Chin is considered one of the fathers of Asian American literature. He's certainly one of its pioneers, being the first Asian American to have a play done off-Broadway with The Chickencoop Chinaman. He is the recipient of the American Book Award for outstanding literary achievement. He is the best-selling author of Donald Duk. He co-edited the book Aiiieeeee! (and its expansion The Big Aiiieeeee!), a ground-breaking anthology which explores the Chinese, Japanese and Filipino American experience. His latest book is The Confessions of a Number One Son. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
