Frank Eperjesi

Dr Eperjesi is a professor in clinical optometry with expertise in the fields of binocular vision, paediatric optometry, low vision, the effects of nutrition on long term eye health and quality assurance and enhancement in higher education. He has lectured on these topics in several countries and has had many research articles published as well as four books. He is past-head of optometry at a leading UK university where he was also lead clinician in the investigation and management of binocular vision anomalies. Dr Eperjesi was an examiner in binocular vision for UK board examinations for 10 years when he trained many novice practitioners in paediatric and binocular vision optometry. He has quality assured optometry programmes in Denmark, Italy, Ireland and Singapore, practiced in corporate, independent and hospital settings and owned and worked in his own practice. Dr Eperjesi has co-investigated and co-managed hundreds of cases of binocular vision anomalies with orthoptists and ophthalmologists. He continues to share his expertise in these topics through his work as an expert witness in medico-legal malpractice and fitness to practise cases. He is Co-founder and major contributor to EyeTools.Education, a platform aimed to assist in developing skills leading to a successful career in eye care, through webinars, presentations, instructional videos, blogs, hints and tips, and book reviews.
