Hi, I am Frank Metzel 'Prisoner in the mud' is the first book that I have published on kindle. The original book "Gefangen im Schlamm" was written by my father, Herwarth Metzel. After his death in 2015, I have decided to keep the stories he told us many times - as a kid, sometimes I did not want to hear them anymore :-) - alive and to make them accessible to a broader public. My father was not what you would call today a "Nazi", he was a 15-year-old boy who took part in a war he believed was the best for his Vaterland. In 2021, I will publish another book, originally published by my father in German "Jedem das Seine", translated into English. This book will cover his time as a PoW in Sibiria at the age of 15-20. He was very lucky to survive this camp. 'How to learn Polish' is my first own ebook and I hope to inspire and help many readers to learn this fantastic language. I've reached the B1-level in 2020 after studying the language seriously for 1 year. I've uploaded a video about me speaking Polish with Piotr from realpolish.pl and also a copy of the email I've received of the certifying institution.
