Frank Weithöner is an electronics technician and a certified biomedical technician. He has repaired and maintained medical equipment for several years before becoming the workshop manager for a medical service company in Germany. He then went abroad to work for various development aid organisations. Between 2001 and 2022, Frank lived and worked in Yemen, the Philippines, Zambia, Tanzania and Kenya, where he set up and managed hospital repair workshops and trained local technicians. In addition, Frank has been running his website 'frankshospitalworkshop,com' since 2008.
