Gina Barlean is a Nebraska author who wrote her first book in 2009. She then joined the Nebraska Writers Guild to search for more information about how to publish her work. Through this new network of colleagues, she participated in several online courses, attended many conferences, read many books on the topic of writing, and joined and helped create several critique groups which helped hone her craft. From 2009 to 2022, Barlean wrote and published ten books. She chose to use G. M. as her professional pen name. Gina Barlean continues to be an involved member of The Nebraska Writers Guild and is also a member of The Nebraska Pen Women in the Omaha branch. Her work is independently published using her own publishing imprint, Less Traveled Roads Publishing. She has chosen to distribute her work on Amazon and all but one of her books, The Man with the Green Scarf, are available in both digital and print.
