Gabrielle Coleman tried curling as a joke after watching it in the 2006 Olympics. Three years--and lots of help--later, she was competing in the Olympic Trials against the same women she'd watched on TV. She knows most curlers don't have the same access to top-notch coaching she did, so she wrote "Break Through Beginner Curling" and "Introduction to Curling Strategy" to help all curlers reach their full potential. Gabrielle Coleman lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated with honors from Princeton University and works as a newscast director at San Francisco's NBC station, KNTV. She has served on the board of directors at her own curling club and the US Curling Association.
