Hello Dear Reader! Some may say - and they do - that I've led an interesting life! I have!!! I'm a retiree from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. I love the outdoors - rockhounding, gold prospecting, treasure hunting, RVing, car camping, and foraging in the woods for edibles and medicinal plants. For a time I lived on the edge of the rural Utah town of Elsinore where I began - and mostly finished - renovating a 120-year old Folk Victorian farmhouse. I grew nearly all of my own food, raised chickens, made candles and soap, made wine, canned, froze, and dehydrated what I grew, all while learning how to become self-sufficient. While I now live in a cozy condo in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, my outdoor adventures continue. I'm fascinated with the idea of part-time RV living. I do relish having a home base, but would also love to winter in the Southwest deserts and connect with other full- and part-time RVers. Presently, I'm planning on making that a reality within this year of 2023 along with returning to rockhounding, treasure hunting, and gold prospecting on my trips to the Southwest and my Northern California prospecting spots. Presently, knitting, walking and hiking, yoga, meditating, foraging, camping, and writing are my favorite things to do. As of this writing in 2023, I'll soon be 73-years old. I don't allow age to hold me back from the things I love and want to do! Staying healthy through diet, exercise, attending to my spiritual growth, and remaining engaged with life on the "exuberance level" - has carried me along nicely, so far. I was raised LDS and am a sixth generation "Mormon". I belong to the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, and the Traditional Martinist Order. To you, Dear Reader, as Mary Ingelbreit once said, "Life is just a chair of bowlies"! Therefore, don't put your dreams off! Seize the day, your day, however you desire! Enjoy! Have fun! Love life for it is truly good (despite the naysayers, angry folk, politically motivated news, fear mongers, and the "dolly downers"). Disentangle from circumstances - and anyone that make you feel sad, miserable, and powerless! Do it and live your dreams! Love and Peace to you! Gail
