Garry Bevan

Garry is a British national and highly experienced scuba diving professional and cruising guide who arrived in Bali in June 1995 from the UK. The primary reason he travelled half-way across the planet was to appear as the best man at his best friend's wedding; however, he quickly became inexplicably engaged in the task of managing a brand new luxury dive resort on the north coast of the island and didn't bother to go home. Now, nearly 30 years further up the road, and after spending the best part of his adult life plying the enigmatic oceans of the Indonesian archipelago, he has managed to publish not one but two elaborate scuba diving and cruise guides. These colourful and information-packed books cover two of the country's most iconic destinations, Komodo and Raja Ampat. Hopefully, there will be more to follow if he manages to wake up and get on with the job.
