Gary Rockis

Gary J. Rockis is the author of three technical education books that showcase his prowess as an industry-linked educator. He has dedicated his 40-year career to helping students and apprentices develop career and technical skills and knowledge in residential wiring, SMART home technology, solid-state electronics, and motor controls for integrated systems used in manufacturing. Over the years, Gary has authored a number of articles for technical education magazines. He also served as the editor of Training Today magazine. Gary’s stellar contributions to the field have been recognized with the Association of Career and Technical Education’s National Award of Merit. Gary is also a true entrepreneur. For the last 37 years, Gary has owned and operated the Morris Business & Technology Center in Illinois. The center provides office space for over 40 law, technical, medical, insurance, and counseling professionals. Since 2001, Gary has served as CEO of Integrated Systems Technology, Inc., an Illinois company promoting collaborative community partnerships to develop a skilled workforce. The company helps connect community colleges, One-Stop centers, economic development groups, and manufacturers seeking technically skilled employees. Earlier in his career, Gary served as CEO of Aidex Corporation, a leader in skills-based technology training services for elementary, secondary, and postsecondary educational institutions. Gary J. Rockis is a graduate of Illinois State University’s Industrial Technology Education program. He also studied at DeVry University in the Industrial Electronics Technology program and at the United Electronics Institute. Gary remains connected with top electrical training providers nationwide to continue developing a technically competent workforce.
