Gene Benson

关于作者

Gene Benson has always been an aviation enthusiast. His formal flight training, financed by odd jobs and lots of lawn mowing, began at the age of 14. He soloed on his 16th birthday after waiting all day for a snow squall to pass. His career has included being a primary and advanced flight instructor, professor and dean of aeronautics for an aviation college, instructor for a major airline, and training consultant to several domestic and international airlines. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degrees in education and in business. Now, with more than 50 years and 15,000 hours as a pilot, more than 40 years of experience as a flight instructor, and more than 8,000 hours of dual-given, he shares his experience, observations, and ideas on safety of flight.
