Gene Gibbons covered Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton during 40 years as a news reporter. He also covered U.S. visits of Queen Elisabeth II and Pope John Paul. Gibbons is a retired Reuters chief White House correspondent. His career highlights also include serving as a Presidential Debate panelist in 1992 and as a Joan M. Shorenstein Fellow at Harvard’s School of Government in 2010. He has appeared on The PBS NewsHour, CNN, C-Span and numerous other telecasts.
