Gerald Dawe is an Irish poet who has published ten collections of poetry including Lake Geneva (2003) Selected Poems (2012) Mickey Finn's Air (2014) and The Last Peacock (2019) as well as volumes of prose, most recently, Of War and War's Alarms (2015), In Another World: Van Morrison and Belfast (2017) and The Wrong Country: Essays on Modern Irish Writing (2018). His work has been translated into German, French and Japanese and he has given readings and lectures in many parts of the world. He was Professor of English and Fellow of Trinity College Dublin until his retirement in 2017. He lives in County Dublin.
