I'm a professor at Florida Atlantic University who writes about digital media, algorithmic culture, and their relationship to technopolitics. I’m particularly drawn to political economic analysis, but the same time, I think often about how we negotiate the digital age as spectators and users. As a film scholar, I believe in the value of close textual analysis—you’ll find that commitment in all my writing. From that base in film and media studies, I move between many fields, from film theory to postcolonial studies, Southeast Asian studies, and science and technology. Those pathways have allowed my interests to evolve and wander. You can find links to essays, interviews, talks, and more at my faculty bio on my school's website.
