Gina M. Barrett, MIA, C- IAYT, E-RYT 200 is an international author and trauma informed yoga therapist in the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy tradition, specializing in sexual assault trauma and sex reeducation. With a Masters degree in International Administration, she has worked for many years in the nonprofit social justice and environmental fields. In 2019, she founded Casa de Paz SLV, based in Crestone, Colorado, USA, with a mission to provide holistic trauma support for asylum seekers, refugees and new immigrants internationally. Gina was the recipient of the 2022 International Association for Yoga Therapist Seva Award for creating trauma-informed yoga programs at the border of Texas and Mexico. In her private practice, Gina shares eastern and somatic movement instruction, couples and nature as wellness retreats and equine therapy on her off grid ranch in Crestone, Colorado, USA. Gina summers at her cabin in her native state of Conway, Massachusetts, USA.
