As a child during summer break I organized the neighborhood kids into performing in plays and musicals I had written. I took my fearless crew on weekly trips to the library and for soft-serve ice cream cones on our way home. Storybooks and words have always fascinated me, and the library felt like home. I remain an avid reader, and the library still feels like home. As part of the United States Air Force I enjoyed exploring new places, meeting diverse people, experiencing different cultures, and celebrating our similarities. While stationed in Germany, I met an airman in the Royal Air Force from Yorkshire, England. We fell in love, got married, and have been blessed with a wonderful son. Despite life’s many challenges, I now believe I have come full circle. With faith and perseverance, the little girl who once dreamed of becoming a writer has finally seen that dream become a reality. Sometimes, our dreams may be delayed, but that does not mean they will never come true. Mine did, and so can yours!
