Glaucia Lima

Born in Alagoinhas, a city in the interior of Bahia (Brazil), where she lived until entering university. Married and mother of three children, she has lived in Portugal for 29 years. She graduated in Medicine from the Bahiana School of Medicine and Public Health in 1991. She specialized in Psychiatry, completing her medical internship at the Juliano Moreira Psychiatric Hospital. She equivalenced her Medical Degree at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences in Porto and has been registered with the South Section of the Medical Association in Portugal since 1996. She completed postgraduate studies in "Addictions" at Nova University of Lisbon and in "Psychopathology" at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. She has training in various psychotherapeutic approaches: “Transpersonal Psychology,” “Clinical Hypnosis,” “EMDR,” “Family Therapy and Systemic Approach,” and “Psychodrama.” Senior Assistant Psychiatrist in the Hospital Medical Career at Hospital Nossa Senhora do Rosário and works in private practice. Since 2017, she has served as Director of the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health at the Arco Ribeirinho Local Health Unit (ULSAR).
