I am an Englishman who has been living in the San Diego area with my wife Natalie since 1999. After service in the Royal Navy and various careers including owning my own Antiquarian and secondhand bookshop in Rye Sussex I attended the University of Kent Canterbury where I took American Studies as a mature student. My final year of college I spent at the University of Miami Florida. For the last twenty years of my working life I was fortunate enough to work as an historical interpreter for California State Parks in Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. That is where I got my inspiration to write about the many interesting historical characters who inhabited the town and county between the years 1846-1872. I have six installments of The Adventures of Flynn and McCoy starting with Into the West, their origin story. The second story, Flynn's Gamble is about William Walkers invasion of Baja in 1853. Their third story is titled The Jackass Mail, the fourth The Copperhead Conspiracy a civil war story set in California. The final two books are in the process of being completed. When I'm not writing I spend far too much of my time playing golf. Natalie and I also enjoy hiking, cooking drinking red wine and traveling, not in that order.
