"My name is Horlrick Jean-Pierre, and I am from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I recently started writing books to honor my father, who passed away a few years ago. He was also a writer. I have been living in Florida since the 1980s. I am the son of an immigrant who worked hard to achieve the American dream. I have also worked hard, learned from my mistakes, and strived to improve. I am a retired United States Army veteran with 22 years of service. After retirement, I worked in the public service government sector in Miami-Dade County. My books are written in a conversational tone as if I am personally telling the story. Although my words might not always be politically correct, they express my true thoughts and feelings."
