Haeley Giambalvo

Haeley Giambalvo has been a professional blogger and online content creator for the past decade. Her popular crafting website DesignImprovised.com has been featured by publications including Country Living, Martha Stewart Living, Better Homes and Gardens, Highlights Magazine, and more. In 2020, she started NativeBackyards.com to encourage others to make small but impactful improvements to their yards with native plants. The website receives thousands of daily visitors interested in learning about native plant gardening. Over 1,000 people in the Native Backyards community have participated in the Native Backyards Challenge - with the goal of adding at least two native plants to their yards. Haeley has been part of the Texas Master Naturalist volunteer organization since 2020 and currently serves as the Director of Media and Technology for the Alamo Area Chapter. She is also a member of the Native Plant Society of Texas. Haeley received an undergraduate degree in Marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
